THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND HUSBAND SUPPORT ON THE SELECTION OF THE MKJP CONTRACEPTION METHOD AMONG FAMILY ACCEPTORS IN THE WORK AREA OF THE ARANIO HEALTH CENTER, IN 2025

Abstract

Backgrounds: Family planning (KB) is one of the services. The main preventive health for women. Based on the KB register at the UPTD Aranio Health Center, the results showed that in 2024 the number of active KB in 2024 was 1,254 with condom kB methods 1,5%, pills 27%, injection 70%, IUD 1,1%, Implants 6,9% and MOW 1%. Based on these data, the UPTD Aranio health Center has the lowest coverage of 10 active KB partiipants, especially MKJP, out of 25 Health Center in Banjar Regency. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and husband support with the choice of MKJP contraceptive method among family planning acceptors in the Aranio in Health Center in 2025. Methods: This research in an correation analytical with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was a Purposive Sampling with 100 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test with a significance value of 0,05.Results: 41 (41%) mother chose to use contraception, 32 ibu (32%) moether hand  good knowledge and 44 (44%) received support from their husbands in choosing MKJP contraception. The results of the spearman rho test show that there was relationship between knowledge and husband support with the use of MKJP contraception with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is relationship between knowledge and husbands support and with the choice of MKJP contraception method among KB acceptors in the Aranio Health Center in 2025
